Lunada Bay Little League - along with associated Little Leagues around the PV Peninsula have been closely following developments related to COVID-19. As PVPUSD is weighing precautions to limit the transmission of Novel Coronavirus, it has moved to immediately restrict many activities at their various sites -- including LBLL and other local Little League parks. We support the judgment of PVPUSD overseeing the schools that the majority of our players attend, and we think it wise to err on the side of caution when the health of our players, their families, and our community is potentially at issue.
We are, therefore, immediately suspending all official league activities until further notice. That includes all practices, games, cages, clinics, etc...
We have also been in communication with PVLL, RHLL and SSLL with whom we play many of our games -- and all the Hill leagues are suspended and we are continuing to work together on these matters. Though we have not officially made any decisions on when we will return or even re-evaluate, it is worth noting that Little League International is urging all leagues to consider cancelling all activities until at least April 6th.
If you should have any questions or concerns regarding this suspension, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Stay tuned and we will do our best to keep you updated on when baseball by the Bay will return to action as soon as info becomes available. In the meantime, keep safe and stay healthy!

Whether you are a new family looking to dip your toe into the LBLL experience or an upper division veteran or and alum or even a community fan -- there is no better way to catch the feels by The Bay than to commiserate in the Plaza, listen to the sounds of Spring 2020, scarf down a hotdog and cheer on some wide eyed kiddos as they take the field.
Plus if you spend the afternoon with us, you will also get a glimpse of the near future and what those kids will be like in a few short years when the Int Angels take on the Int Rockies (11:00 Majors Field) followed by the Maj Dodgers v the visiting RHLL Cardinals (1:30 Majors Field).
Opening Day only comes once a year to the Bay. Don't miss it!
On Saturday, the Intermediate Cardinals and Dodgers kicked of the 2020 Little League Season with an offensive duel. The Dodgers started strong with 4 runs in the top of the first, and then the Cardinals battled back with 3 in the bottom of the first. The offense continued for the rest of the game, and ended with a final score of 14-8 in favor of the Dodgers. Jake Pekarek was the workhorse on the mound for the Cardinals, and Wes Agnew was the same for the Dodgers. The Dodgers were led offensively by a two hit game from Diego Gutierrez, including a home run. Timmy McDonald led the Cardinals with 4 RBI, including a home run of his own. The defensive highlight of the game came when a great throw to home plate from Keegan Smith of the Cardinals narrowly got the ou,t after a great tag by catcher Liam Cody.
All of the highly anticipated LBLL Opening Day parade and festivities have been postponed to next week - Sat Feb 29 - due to pending weather.
As per the forecast, games are unlikely, but there is hope that some may play on depending on field conditions -- but unfortunately the parade, opening ceremonies, breakfast, pictures, bounce houses, etc... are all being moved to next week. So set your sprinklers to rain delay and enjoy sleeping in this Sat am.
Please check with your respective teams and coaches for details!
