Talented 10U squad plays Wed eve in District 36 quarterfinal v El Segundo

Backed by a lights-out defense, Layton Hunter, Sully Townley, Jonah Cohen, and Stefan Brende have provided otherworldly pitching to lead the Lunada Bay Little League 10U All-Stars on an impressive run at the District 36 tournament. In the first-round LBLL uncharacteristically stumbled and took a gut check loss to host Redondo Beach LL, sending them to the lower bracket... and crystalizing their resolve. After making a couple of adjustments and renewing their focus, the talented squad has since gone on to win 4-straight elimination games in resounding fashion. They have rolled through Manhattan Beach LL B (19-0), Rolling Hills LL (7-0), Manhattan Beach LL A (12-1), and Hermosa Beach LL (10-0) — the latest win a dominating 4-inning mercy rule enforced perfect game on Monday night.

Every single player on the Lunada Bay 10U roster has played outstanding and shined at times. When asked who might be mentioned as a standout on this run, coach Shannon Townley replied, “Everyone… EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM... List everyone’s name”. So here they are: Agnew, Brende, Cohen, E Correa, F Correa, Dox, Hunter, Leslie, Pekarek, Smith, Sullivan, Townley, Tyler and Voytilla!

Come out to cheer on this special team on an epic run as they take the field again in another must win game at Perry Park in Redondo Beach @ 6:00 on Wednesday evening against traditional powerhouse El Segundo.
