Lunada Bay Minor Giants Beat LB Minor Angels By 12 Runs

The Minor Giants asserted their will over the Angels on their way to an easy 14-2 victory.

The Giants  got on the board in the first inning when Jackson Watten singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

The Giants blew the game wide open when they tallied five runs in the fifth inning. The rally was led by singles by Auggie Blachy and Jackson Gregory and a double by Tate Haaz.

Tate was credited with the victory for the Giants. He allowed one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out six and walking one. Jackson Watten threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Jackson recorded the last three outs to earn the save for LB Minor Giants. Jacob Agaiby took the loss for Minor LBLL Angels. He pitched one and one-third innings, striking out three.


The Giants had 21 hits in the game. Tate, Auggie, Jackson Gregory, Charlie Heim, Julian Imposimato, Jackson Watten, Maddox Grogan, and Bode Voytilla all had multiple hits for the Giants. Tate went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Lunada Bay LL Giants Minors in hits. Auggie led with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with six stolen bases.

Minor LBLL Angels racked up ten hits in the game. Poom, Donovan Jones, and Diego Gutierrez each racked up multiple hits for Minor LBLL Angels. Poom led Minor LBLL Angels with three hits in three at bats. Minor LBLL Angels stole four bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Cameron Celestin led the way with two.
