LB INTERMEDIATE ANGELS CONTINUE TO IMPROVE WITH 11 - 6 WIN OVER SS TIGERS

By S. Townley

Franco Correa recorded his first win from the mound, and Avi Desai made his pitching debut Monday night en route to an 11 - 6 victory over the SS Tigers.  Both pitchers were dealing, striking out multiple Tigers in the outing.  Offensively, the entire team was involved, with the Angels jumping out to an 11 run lead early.  Standout, Sully Townley was 4 - 4 for against the Tiger pitchers with 3 doubles and a single.  Every Angel was on base throughout the night.

After the game, first time reliever Avi Desai was asked how many pitches he had at his disposal, to which he replied, "I never threw an illegal pitch. The trouble is, once in a while I toss one that ain't never been seen by this generation." The Angels will be back at Silver Spur Wednesday night against the undefeated Silver Spur Dodgers.  Go Angels!
