The clouds broke yesterday afternoon allowing just enough time for an interleague match-up between the Lunda Bay Intermediate Dodgers and The Rolling Hills Angels.
Laton Hunter, the Dodgers Ace right hander teamed up with his favorite catching partner Jake Dox and together they left little doubt as to who would be victorious. Hunter pitched 5 innings allowing zero runs and striking out 11 Angels on way to a 5 to 1 win on our Major field. Hunter's finest moment came in the fifth inning as he got himself out of a bases-loaded, no-out jam by striking out three Angels in a row.
The Dodgers batting was led by Chance Voytilla going 3 for 3 at the plate and Jake Dox going 2 for 3 respectively. Voytilla also stepped onto the mound in the sixth to get the save for the Dodgers and close out the game. The Angels scored their only run of the game in the final inning off a hard hit ball shot deep to left center field by Angels Jace DeMoss.
It was a hard fought win for this Dodger team and a good day for Lunada Bay Little League.
