The Yankees opened their season against the Giants. Both teams played well and showed great sportsmanship. The Yankees offense was highlighted by a sharp line drive to right field off the bat of Sagan Barbour. Defensively, Skylar Hartman made some nice plays in the field.

The Yankees visited the Phillies this past week-end. The weather was beautiful and the action was hot. Brendan Elliott hit the ball hard all day, while Skylar Hartman made a couple of beautiful catches at first base. The game was temporarily interrupted in the third inning by the appearance of a gopher at second base.
