TRYOUT SCHEDULE FOR JANUARY 9th

The tryout schedule on January 9th for Major, Intermediate and Minor League players (League Age 8-12 years old) is shown below. Farm and T Ball players DO NOT have tryouts.

12 year old players tryout from 8:30am – 9:00am

11 year old players tryout from 9:00am – 9:30am

10 year old players tryout from 9:30am – 10:00am

9 year old players tryout from 10:00am – 10:45am

8 year old players tryout from 10:45am –11:30am

Players should be at the main plaza near the snack shack approximately 15 minutes before their scheduled tryout time to sign in and get their assigned numbers. All players in the Major, Intermediate and Minor League divisions need to try out. If you have any questions please contact Player agent Dave McCann at DTMcCann@yokasmith.com

Lunada Bay Little League Coaches Clinic
Saturday, January 30th
9:30am - 1:00pm

Dear Major, Intermediate and Minor League Parents: 

We will be having our inaugural coaching clinic Saturday January 30th from 9:30am -1:00pm for Major, Intermediate and Minor division coaches and parents. From noon – 1 pm the clinic will include instruction from Greg Jahelka on field prep and post game maintenance as well as instruction on how to safely use the field’s quad. Ned Sasaki will also provide a safety overview.

Complimentary coffee will be served in the a.m. and complimentary pizza will be served in the afternoon!

We are fortunate to have Alvin Lowi, one of Lunada Bay’s most respected baseball people, available to lead the coaching clinic from 9:30 to 11:45 am with help from others. Alvin will provide tips on how to run a practice as well as hitting, pitching, fielding and throwing instruction. Alvin will address all your questions as well and have team(s) there to demonstrate techniques with. You will learn a few things no matter how many years you have coached or played baseball. We feel this clinic will improve our collective knowledge of the game and provide helpful tips to improve the instruction we provide our kids.

From 11:45 -1:00 pm we will have field preparation, quad and safety instruction with pizza.

We will also host a field clinic on Saturday, January, 30 2010. We will require at least four parents from each Major, Minor, Intermediate team to attend a 30-minute session instructed by Gregg Jahelka on proper field maintenance. Greg and his team work extremely hard to keep our fields in great condition. LUNADA BAY LITTLE LEAGUE ANNUAL WORK DAY
