The four Peninsula Little Leagues are excited to once again offer its players the opportunity to work with outstanding professional coaches all winter long and you won't have to travel hundreds of miles or pay thousands of dollars for the privilege!

Our goal this season is the same: to continue to improve the overall level of play in the four Peninsula Little Leagues by focusing on individual skill development and team play in a coaching environment that always stresses effort, attitude, teamwork, and respect for the game.

For the 4th year in a row, Spring Training Baseball Academy Director Dan Spring and his staff will run weekly practices and evaluate game performances for the entire winter season.

Winter League Features:

1) 1 mid-week practice starting at 4pm and 1 game on Sundays starting at either 12pm or 2:30pm (September 13th through October 31st).

2) Professional coaches running all practices and game (no Moms or Dads on the field or in the dugouts).

3) Practices will focus on skill development and team play (pitching, hitting, infield/outfield defense, cut-offs/backing up, baserunning, etc).

4) Sunday games will have professional umpires but will be instructional in nature

5) Batting order and defensive positioning will rotate randomly and will be equitable to all players (no drama over playing time, etc).

6) All games and practices will be held at RHLL.

7) The Spring Training Baseball playing philosophy emphasizing hustle, effort, teamwork, respect for the game, personal responsibility, and hitting the books in the classroom will be the underlying themes at all workouts.

8) Players who will be "LittleLeagueAge" 9-12 next season are eligible to participate in theleague.

9) Registration is limited and this program has sold-out every year it has been offered. Once capacity has been reached we will start a waiting list but can not guarantee a spot in the league once it fills up.

10) Enrollment is $325 before August 20th and $350 after. Fee includes professional coaching, umpire fees, and uniforms.

For those of you who don't know Dan Spring, he has been a staple at Little League fields in and around the Peninsula since 2004 and has more than 10 years of youth coaching experience. He is a graduate of Brown University and played professional baseball in the Tigers and Cardinals organizations. His extremely popular summer baseball camp wraps up in August and his fall clinic and private lesson program begins in September.
