In 2009, the Shack hosted the 11-year old District All-Start Tournament. Our famous LBLL cheeseburgers with Bristol Farm's meat and fresh Mayer's Bakery buns quickly became legendary throughout the district. During the course of the season, this 100% volunteer operation serves over 4,000 hamburgers and 10,000 sodas and Gatorades to LBLL players, families and community as well as visiting teams. Profits from the shack go to help field our little league teams. But more important than the money we make, is the fun we have! So next time you are in the area, stop by for a burger, watch a game and catch up with a friend!
The Shack is open from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. weeknights (except Friday) and 8:30 am to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays.
The Shack is managed and stocked by a team of dedicated volunteers know as the Shack Divas. It is staffed by parent volunteers from each team who graciously work two or more shifts per season. The 2010 Snack Shack Divas were: Irene Hill, Erin Harper, Faye Moore, Lisa Smith, Rika Tanous, Heather Matson, Tess Trivell, Lynn Allen, Anette Aguirre.
Volunteering for Snack Shack duty is critical to our league's success. If you would like to get more involved, please contact Irene Hill at 310.347.6446 or email her at ireneihill@cox.net.
