  MAJOR ANGELS NEWS AND PHOTOS

Coach Ned Sasaki and the Majors Angels finds out where they sit for the 2010 Season.

5/6 LB Angels 6: LB White Sox 5

Although they lost, the LB White Sox showed their grit in the bottom of the sixth to make it another one-run intra-league game with the final being LB Angels 6: LB White Sox 5. Mac Tolan, Luc Gervais, Kevin Sasaki, and Kyle McElroy led the Angel offense with Mac Tolan going 2 for 3 including a key runscoring single in the fourth. In the bottom of the sixth with two outs, the White Sox mounted a great rally fueled by Tucker Delponte's left center line-drive two-run scoring gapper which narrowed the score from 6-3 Angels to 6-5. However, Woodrow Davidson, in his debut as a closer, was able to gather himself and get the last out on a swinging strike-out. Just another to-be-expected intra-league nail-biter!!!

4/13
It was another intra-league thriller between the LB White Sox vs the LB Angels. The White Sox jumped into the early lead 2-0 after one inning behind the strong pitching of Alex Bobb who eventually went four innings. In the second, the Angels got their first baserunner of the game after Matt Donahue ripped a double into right center. Woodrow Davidson and Sander Alley followed up Matt Donahue's lead off double to cut the White Sox lead in half 2-1. Nick Kumar and Danny Lucioni contributed singles of their own to tie the game at 2 after two innings of play. In the third the White Sox grabbed the lead once again going ahead 4-2. However, in the bottom of the third with Kevin Sasaki and Kyle McElroy on Matt Donahue uncorked a rocket over the center field fence for a go-ahead three run dinker putting the Angels up 6-4. The game would end after six with Luc Gervais making two good catches on fly balls hit to center field and Woodrow Davidson taking care of a comebacker to end the game 6-5. It was a team effort all around with everyone contributing whether it be Woodrow Davidson pitching two great innings to end the game after Kyle McElroy had to leave due to injury or Lucas Allen laying down two timely bunts. It was a hard fought game on both sides and another one-run game between two Lunada Bay teams. Lunada Bay Baseball is FANtastic!!!

In what is becoming a habit of great games, the LB Indians vs LB Angels play to an entertaing and exciting 6-6 tie after 8 innings!

Previous games

Another great team effort with all the Angels putting the ball into play including hard hit balls by Grant Vanderdonck, Nick Kumar, Mac Tolan, and Woodrow Davidson. Kyle McElroy led the Angels offense with three extra base hits. McElroy had help offensively from Lucas Allen, Matt Donahue, Luc Gervais, Kevin Sasaki, and Quinn Stoneman who also had a key hits. McElroy put in a strong 4 1/3 innings with Kevin Sasaki closing out the game. In the sixth inning, Quinn Stoneman made a great catch on a rocket linedrive to center to log the first out of what would be a runless sixth inning for the Orioles. The final was 10-6 LB Angels.
