LUNADA BAY LITTLE LEAGUE COACHES, SAFETY & FIELD MAINTENANCE CLINIC
Saturday, January 30, 2010
9:30am - 1:00pm (Major, Intermediate and Minor Division)
12:00pm - 2:30pm (Farm and T-Ball Divisions)
We will be having our inaugural coaching clinic Saturday, January 30th from 9:30am -1:00pm for Major, Intermediate and Minor division coaches and parents and from 12:00pm - 2:30pm for Farm and T-Ball coaches and parents. From 12:30pm - 1:00pm the clinic will include instruction from Greg Jahelka on field prep and post game maintenance as well as instruction on how to safely use the field’s quad. Ned Sasaki will also provide a safety overview at our annual safety clinic.
Complimentary coffee will be served in the am and complimentary pizza and refreshments will be served in the afternoon!
We are fortunate to have Alvin Lowi, one of Lunada Bay’s most respected baseball people, available to lead the coaching clinic from 9:30am to 11:45am and 1:00pm - 2:30pm with help from others. Alvin will provide tips on how to run a practice as well as hitting, pitching, fielding and throwing instruction. Alvin will address all your questions as well and have team(s) there to demonstrate techniques with. You will learn a few things no matter how many years you have coached or played baseball. We feel this clinic will improve our collective knowledge of the game and provide helpful tips to improve the instruction we provide our kids.
Gregg Jahelka and his team work extremely hard to keep our fields in great condition. If you care to help Gregg or have questions about the fields, please call Gregg Jahelka at 310.213.5019 or email him at greggjahelka@aol.com.
Please feel free to direct any questions on this clinic to Dave McCann (DTMcCann@yokasmith.com) or myself (Kevin.Shannon@cbre.com).
We look forward to seeing you all soon.
