helmet and bat specifications
All players must use bats and helmets that meet current Little League standards.
Managers and parents will check all players’ bats prior to their first practice to make sure the bat has a BPF (Bat Performance Factor) 1.15 label on it. It is very important that all bats meet this standard for safety reasons. Additionally all helmets should have the NOCSAE (National Operating Committee on Standards for Athletic Equipment) approved stamp on them. NO EXCEPTIONS.
As a side note there were 12 illegal bats found at the 2009 Tournament of Champions tournament. Illegal bats are still being used!. Please check the bats and helmets at the first practice.
