2011 All-Stars

The 2011 All-Star Tournament will be June 25 - July 11, 2011. All-Star certification for teams is June 18th. All-Star Practice will commence approximately 2 weeks prior to the start of the tournament.

The three 2011 All-Star teams are shown below. Practice for the 9-10 year old All-Star team starts June 12th this year and practice for the 11 year old and 11-12 year old All-Star teams starts on June 15th. The first All-Star tournament games are on June 26th, 2011. (All dates approximately at this time).

The All-Star managers will be selected based on their regular season records including all Interleague games and all final decisions are subject to final determination by the Player Agent. Typically the 1st place Intermediate coach will be the coach of the 9-10 year olds if his son is voted onto the team. If his son is not selected, then an alternative All-Star coach will be selected after reconciling the alternative managers, record, sportsmanship, tenure, etc.

Typically the 1st place Major Division winner will be the coach of either the 10-11 year old team or the 11-12 year old All-Star team. Recently, the Major Division regular season winner coached the 10-11 year old team because that was the All-Star team his son was voted on. There is only one Major Division winner but two All-Star coaches. The manager of the other Major All-Star team will be selected after reconciling the potential alternative managers, record, sportsmanship, tenure, etc.

All-Star players are placed on the All-Star team based 100% on players votes which took place this year on Saturday, May 22nd. The All-Star game is a serious commitment and the required commitment to be on the team will be up to the selected All-Star manager. Typically, a player will have to be able to attend at least 75% of the All-Star practices to qualify for the team. One other Peninsula Little League will not allow more than two missed All-Star practices. The 12 men teams will consists of players that can make the required All-Star practice and games commitment.

10 year old players that played in the Major Division are automatically included on the 10 year old All-Start team if they can make the time commitment required by the All-Start coach.
